Jim Armstrong, Executive Director and Founder

In 2015, Jim retired from the Army Reserve as a MSG after 22 years of Active and Reserve service. Jim is an Iraq and Afghanistan Combat Veteran. He served in the infantry and engineers as a bridge crewmember. For the last 3 years, Jim was working as a Disabled Veteran Case Manager at WorkSource and formed a lot of great relationships in the Veteran community. He decided to create Pacific Northwest Veteran Assistance Program in hope that he can serve Veterans in need.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Masters of Education from Trident University International.

Ken Langston, Board Member

Ken is a medically retired Sgt with 10 years service in the WA National Guard. He served as a light wheeled mechanic, As his career progressed he worked in multiple positions in the civilian world and still drove on to see the success of the missions and personnel, when putting on or taking off his uniform. Ken served in Iraq/Kuwait 2011-2012 as a UH-60 Blackhawk door gunner. Ken has been very dedicated to serving Veterans in the community and is a champion for providing Veteran services and support.

Ken earned a Communications Degree from the University of Washington.

Marie Armstrong, Secretary and Treasurer

Marie is a military spouse and secured the home front while Jim was away in the desert. We can never forget about those who stayed behind and took care of things while we were gone.

Morgan Davis, Board Member

Michael Lawson, Board Member

Michael Lawson served 20 years in the United States Army and retired as a Major in the Civil Affairs Branch. Michael deployed to Iraq for 3 combat tours. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal and Combat Action Badge. Michael held numerous commands, team leader and economic advisor positions.

Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from City University of Seattle.
